Create a plan
It’s so much easier to workout when you have a solid plan in place. Rather than winging workouts, create a scheduled workout plan every week and stick to it. Routine is key.
Find an accountability buddy
Just like a structured plan makes working out easier, so does having an accountability buddy. If you enjoy working out with others, having a workout partner is a great way to keep yourself and them accountable. It’s never fun letting others down by not holding up your end of a deal.
HIIT workouts
During the holidays, there are days when you’re unexpectedly busy and can’t find time for your normal workout routine. Instead of skipping a workout completely, research a quick High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout that can be done from home. Some of the most effective HIIT workouts only last 10-15 minutes, but you’ll definitely feel the burn. These are great options when you’re pressed for time, but still need to break a sweat and get the blood flowing.
Sign up for a holiday fun run
Take advantage of the holiday season and get in the Christmas spirit. Participate in holiday-themed fun runs or walks and bring the entire family. Look for upcoming events near you and sign up for one or two. Dress up in holiday attire to make it even more festive and fun!
Get out in the yard
There are so many ways to utilize your own yard to stay active during the holidays. Although it’s not always fun, something as simple as raking leaves or shoveling snow is a great way to get your body up and moving. For something a little more fun and exciting, gather the family for a competitive game of touch football or plan an extreme snowball fight if you live in colder climates with snow. It’s a great way to keep the entire family active.
Ice skating
Another great way to keep the entire family active is to plan a day of ice skating. Find a local rink, lace up some skates, and hit the ice with your family. Skating around the rink is a great way to get your blood flowing and increase your heart rate. Not only that, but it’ll be a fun, festive outing for everyone involved.
Choose store front shopping over online shopping
If you have the time, hit the mall and walk from store to store as opposed to shopping online. If you’re already shopping for Christmas gifts, you might as well burn a few extra calories while doing so. Buying gifts and burning calories? We call that being productive!
No matter which strategies you choose for staying active, remodeez is here to help eliminate everyday odors from your life. Place them in shoes, gym bags, or around the home to keep your life fresh and bright this holiday season!
